Douglas County Labor Force Projections: 2005-2035

The Douglas County labor force is growing in all age groups unlike other areas of the state, especially those in greater Minnesota. While there is a significant projected increase in residents age 65 and older during the coming years, Douglas County is also seeing a general increase of individuals in their “prime working years,” from ages 25 to 54. The total Douglas County labor force is projected to increase by 22% to 23,850 workers from 2005 to 2035.
